Enrolling Your Newborn in Medical Coverage
One of the many things you should think about when having a baby is how and when to enroll your baby for medical benefits. If you plan to enroll your newborn in one of the CHW medical plans, you must do so within 31 days from the date of birth.

To enroll your newborn, log on to www.chwbenefitconnect.com from work or home and submit a change within 31 days of the date of the baby's birth. Once you have done this, coverage for your newborn will go into effect on the date of birth and you are responsible for any additional premiums due to the coverage change.

If you do not enroll your newborn within 31 days, your next opportunity to enroll your baby will be during open enrollment, which is generally in November of each year with changes going into effect January 1st.

The cost of classes with an asterisk (*) are covered under your medical plans, when you obtain prior authorization through the Member Solution Center. If St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center and Chandler Regional Hospital are not convenient locations for these classes, contact the Member Solution Center for a list of other in-network locations and obtain prior authorization.
